Operated by Middle Fork Aviation and supplemented by an FAA WeatherCam, the cameras are an invaluable planning tool for pilots flying through the Salmon River Mountains and surrounding backcountry.

Located just northeast of the town of Challis, the airport serves as an important gateway to the Salmon River, the Frank Church–River of No Return Wilderness, and dozens of Idaho’s legendary backcountry airstrips. The webcams include northwest and southwest views of the airport, along with additional perspectives that help pilots monitor changing weather conditions from multiple directions.
